About A Thousand Apologies...

The music of A Thousand Apologies is a thing born of unbridled passion. In a world drenched in musical apathy and social cliques, ATA place no checks on their creative impulses to produce a sound which draws on the indie style of the mid-90's, whilst injecting a fresh positivism into the dirty rock they thrash out.

Drawing comparisons as diverse as Gomez, The Frames, Nirvana and Something for Kate, the band has been a heavy presence in the Brisbane music scene for the last four years, developing a solid repertoire of songs with a complex array of hooks, grooves and toe-tapping rhythms, captivating audiences with their fierce stage presence and reviving those who are tired of hearing the same sound beat out of a different drum every Friday night.

ATA is anything but a passing phase: they are not just musicians, they are artists and it is the music which draws them on, with lead singer Dan B. performing and recording solo songs on the side, whilst in-demand rhythm section - Ruwan on drums & Denis on bass - lend their musical energies to fellow Brisbane rockers, The Black Arts.

Recorded at Alchemix studios in Wooloongabba under the sure hands of producers 'Channel J' & 'i' (The Black Arts), ATA's debut EP is a tasty sampling of their musical prowess. While Dan’s twelve string guitar carves unique melodies, the rhythm section propel the song skyward and Andy sinks catchy lead hooks into the mix to create a dynamic, immersive sound bound to bind the EP to a lengthy stay in your CD player.

A Thousand Apologies are based in Brisbane, Australia. Their EP is set for release in late April, 2007.
